The Denver Forum The principal purpose of The Denver Forum is the dialogue of democracy. That is as true today as it was in 1985 when The Forum was founded. In faithful observance of that purpose, The Denver Forum has presented more than 350 programs in the highest public interest. The Denver Forum focuses on national and international issues, but also issues significant to Colorado and the West. The Forum and its members have considered DIA, Two-Forks Dam, and a four-part series on Leadership in Denver. In addition, public debates have been held with candidates for Governor, United States Senate, and Mayor of Denver. |

The City Club of San Diego The dialogue of democracy is the principal purpose of The City Club of San Diego. That is as true in 2003 as it was in 1975 when The City Club began. In faithful observance of that purpose, The City Club has presented, in the highest public interest, more than 750 programs. The City Club starts 2003 with four great programs: "A Look at the Economy for '03" on January 3; a Super Bowl Week XXXVII breakfast with Sport's Illustrated's Rick Reilly on Friday, January 24; a dinner program with former Colorado Senator Gary Hart on Thursday, February 6 (co-sponsored by Point Loma Nazarene University), and a luncheon with Will Willimon, Dean of the Chapel at Duke University, on Thursday, February 27. The Great Fenway Park Writers Series Baseball and writers go together like apple pie and the American flag on the 4th of July. The Great Fenway Park Writers Series celebrates those two magical qualities, the poetry of baseball and the power of the written word – one and inseparable. But baseball and literature are not indivisible from the society in which their special qualities are renown. A writers series worthy of its intent seeks to reflect as well the dynamic of the broader society – beyond ballparks and box scores. The Boston Red Sox are committed to the proposition that writers and literature have a unique standing in American life and culture. The Great Fenway Park Writers Series honors that distinction. Habitat for Humanity and Inter-Faith Community Services DMX makes contribution to Colorado Habitat for Humanity and Interfaith Community Services in the name of clients, vendors and employees. “In lieu of holiday presents DMX contributed that budget to support those less fortunate in our community. Our clients, vendors and employees provided their preference regarding contributions made in their name to two important charities; Habitat for Humanity and Interfaith Community Services. I am pleased that our stakeholders have so enthusiastically supported this endeavor. All of us at DMX thank you for that.” states Jim Kennel, President of DMX Direct. Read More… |
